Per Diem Senior Software Engineer – National Remote

This role includes, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery.
This position is part time. Ability to work a per diem (as needed) schedule.
We offer 4 weeks of training during normal business hours.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Partners with the business on product and feature priorities
- Collaborates with portfolio delivery and finance teams about the funding of engineering teams
- Establishes product roadmaps and aligns engineering features and user stories into the business roadmaps
- Coaches and counsels team members, especially managers regarding leadership techniques in an agile environment and within the context of Our United Values
- Supports client migrations
- Work most often impacts a large business unit, or multiple markets / sites

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- Experienced in working with agile engineering teams
- Experience in modern Java technology stack, Cloud technologies, Databases, Microservices knowledge, CI/CD, and DevOps
- Experience in architecture design and principles
- Experienced in engineering best practices
- Ability to work a per diem (as needed) schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in analytics and data science
- Experienced in building and delivering healthcare software
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $20.43 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
