The Provider Advocate, Dental role is pivotal in delivering support to address provider issues, including escalating concerns related to member placement. The position also involves providing advanced provider education for Georgia, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.

 

This role is critical to advancing the network’s strategic goals, directly influencing network growth targets, Net Promoter Scores (NPS), and improving provider and member experiences.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supporting network gap remediation by recruiting providers at appropriate fee structures
  • Assisting with fee renegotiations
  • Managing projects as needed. Specifically, in GA, a dedicated Provider Advocate is essential to manage the Medicaid business which includes: 
    • Addressing state-level complaints
    • Conducting provider education initiatives
    • Representing the organization at Dental Association meetings
    • Providing overall network support to meet access standards and metrics

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a network management-related role, such as contracting, or provider relations 
  • Healthcare and/or dental industry experience  
  • Experience prospecting new and existing provider leads
  • Demonstrated intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Willing and able to travel 25% +/- within territory assigned or other market according to business needs
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Reside in Georgia

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated exceptional sales presentation skills in a high-pressure environment
  • Proven dental industry knowledge
  • Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator/Dental Office Manager experience
  • Proven knowledge of PPO and Medicare/Medicaid products
  • Sales / Call environment experience
  • Salesforce experience
  • MS PowerPoint experience
  • Proven knowledge of claims processing systems and guidelines

The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
