JOB TITLE: Manager, Software Engineering
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)
DUTIES: Design, develop, and modify highly specialized computer applications to drive user efficiency and overall
business success. Duties include: build and manage multiple teams in an Agile software development environment, using appropriate techniques and tools and empowering the Team to self-organize; work on Product Roadmap in partnership with Product Management; setup goals to monitor progress against goals; hire, coach, manage, and mentor a team of geographically distributed software engineers; lead & resolve technical discussions with developers in teams; and participate in Design/Solution sessions with Architect, Product Manager and other stakeholders to build the design of new features aligning with architecture roadmap of product. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Technology or a related field and two (2) years experience in the job offered or a related computer occupation. Position requires two (2) years experience in the following:
• programming and full software development life-cycle;
• engineering leadership on small/medium size engineering teams;
• worked in a highly scaled Agile environment;
• delivering technology products in a high growth environment;
• health care domain;
• scalable and performant applications such as object-oriented patterns or SOLID principles; and
• analyzing large volumes of data.
RATE OF PAY: $150,093 – $201,547 / per year
