JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)
DUTIES: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs; build next generation products and services enabling product development teams; produce high quality code across the full technology stack like web development, interoperability, reporting, SaaS products; database design, cloud and security; participate in Agile software processes; mentor other Software Engineers; deliver quality and secure products by using latest technologies; produce high quality code across the full technology stack; perform database management, design, development and writing complex queries / views or stored procedures for Data Transformation tasks; develop and maintain applications to cater business needs using Salesforce; document and demonstrate solutions with a focus on security and performance by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code; actively participate in Agile software processes; leverage technical skills by applying towards the validation of product quality and writing test code including unit tests and automated test cases; keep up with industry trends and innovations and apply knowledge at work to ensure code is maintainable for longer; mentor other Software Engineers and lead by example on agile practices, coding standards, design standards; collaborate with cross functional resources like Business Analysts, Quality Engineers, DevOps or other engineers across teams. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a computer related occupation. Position requires five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the following:
• Developing ETL processes using tools such as SSIS, Talend, Alteryx or Azure Data Factory;
• Application Programming using JAVA and Python;
• Developing applications using Salesforce Cloud;
• Reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI or SSRS;
• Designing data model based on requirement;
• Delivery experience in a matrixed environment;
• Agile Based Delivery combined with DevOps experience (CI / CD / CT);
• Integration technologies, middleware, and protocols; and
• Developing applications using Private or Public Cloud Platforms and Services.
RATE OF PAY: $141,898 – $191,502 / per year
