UAT tester to work within the Optum Care Eligibility Team to help us ensure changes to eligibility data, and new health plan implementations are tested and delivered having met the highest quality testing standards available in the organization in a timely manner. In this highly visible role, you will also have the opportunity to participate in building and establishing our policies, standards and procedures for the UAT Team.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Participate in User Acceptance testing for OptumHealth member eligibility data into Facets from varying eligibility processing platforms 
• Partner with team Business Implementation Leads to understand user acceptance criteria and test scenarios 
• Fulfilling test data requests from project partners to load members 
• Testing of system requirements and enhancements and / or fixes  
• Analyzing test results and researching & troubleshooting issues to communicate impact (and expected results) of results to project partners
• Logging & tracking defects to closure  
• Monitoring, measuring and communicating test results  
• Help ensure new system requirements / enhancements / changes are tested thoroughly, accurately and delivered in a timely manner 
• Work closely with Project Team to identify risks early; high engagement throughout life cycle of projects  
• Improve UAT processes to build efficiencies and align with enterprise best practices
• Create and maintain documentation, communication, and process workflow
• Analyze and decompose business requirements to extract test requirements
• Developing / implementing / executing effective test plans and test cases
• Testing of system requirements and enhancements and/or fixes 
• Project management skills – manage multiple priorities

Required Qualifications: 

• 2+ years of Eligibility operations experience
• 1+ years of projects of testing experience for enterprise – including experience creating/handling test data and executing/validating test results 
• Intermediate level proficiency: MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint 
• Ability to work flexible schedule during holidays & peak period (October through January)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with handling multiple projects/responsibilities simultaneously and in a fast – paced environment 
• Proven ability to understand and clearly articulate business and system functionality requirements and / or process flows as it relates to test cases and test results

The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
