Associate Collections Representative – Remote in West Hills, CA

This position is full time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 8407 Fallbrook Ave West Hills, CA 91304.

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing Third – Party AR by analyzing denied and un-responded claims
• Outbound calls to insurance carriers to appeal and check claims status
• Post explanation of benefits
• Coordinate with insurance carriers to reconcile / resolve any issues
• Familiar with explanation of benefits
• Maintain Compliance and HIPAA standards at all times
• Meet or exceed daily production standards by maintaining work list according to metrics
• Meet or exceed daily quality standards
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned
• Process insurance / patient refunds and adjustments
• Evaluate and respond to all emails request for any deposit issues in order to resolve in a timely matter

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• Ability to create and modify spreadsheets within Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work full time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

      

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical Billing experience
• Familiar with explanation of benefits

         

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Reside within a commutable distance from 8407 Fallbrook Ave West Hills, CA 91304 with ability to come onsite for meetings.
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
