This group is responsible for effective, regional purchasing of medical services, equipment, and supplies to maximize cost efficiencies, price leverage, and quality while also identifying and mitigating risks to the organization. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support and execute local/enterprise Supply Chain Strategies
  • Develop, Implement and Manage Procurement Processes/Workflow
  • Understanding of contracts and experience in negotiations
  • Maintain and support Procure-To-Pay processes at local and enterprise level
  • Support/manage collaborative relationships with internal & External stakeholders by delivering high level communication
  • Identify and drive cost savings opportunities and efficiencies through strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Prepare and present analytics/reports on spend, savings and contract alignment for leadership visibility

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of solid sourcing and procurement experience
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in MS Excel
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid negotiation and contract management skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven performance in a working environment with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects/priorities to meet deadlines/timelines

  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of solid customer service experience
  • Knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry specific to medical supplies, equipment and pharmaceutical
  • Knowledge and experience with any supply chain and/or procure-to-pay applications

  

The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
