We are searching for our next Head of Enterprise Technology Procurement. This role will be incredibly impactful and will shape and enable the transformation of healthcare. As we continue to invest in emerging technologies, this individual will help unlock value through procuring technology that will propel us to the future of healthcare.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Cast a positive leadership shadow and operate as a servant leader who leverages UHG’s values
- Sets vision and strategy for team, appropriately delegates, and motivate their teams through execution
- Translates business priorities into actionable procurement strategy to drive results
- Bring a demonstrated track record of developing individuals and teams, managing through change, and transforming teams to serve as trusted advisors
- Successfully supported organizations migrate to the cloud through effective deal structures for both on prem and cloud resources.
- Ability to earn and retain a “seat at the table” with key business stakeholders by adding value through strategic guidance and recommendations
- Partners effectively with peers toward achieving linked outcomes
- Embrace the “team-of-teams” concept toward collaboration in a matrixed organization
- Be motivated by and promote continual improvement, have a high tolerance for ambiguity and contribute toward team outcomes through seeking out solutions to complex problems

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 15+ years progressive experience in building and managing global supply management / procurement or management consulting with focus on procurement operations, strategic sourcing and cost reduction initiatives
- 5+ years of experience negotiating complex enterprise-wide contracts
- Deep expertise in technology sourcing and procurement with prior experience partnering with technology executive leadership
- Background partnering with technology business stakeholders to define long term category and supplier strategies, leveraging standardized business processes, data & analytics with a focus on continuous improvement
- Expertise in supplier negotiations, with solid background in pricing strategy, “should-cost” modeling, legal terms, supplier risk management, and service-level requirements, preferably with solid understanding and expertise across Tech hardware, software, telecom, services, and subscription-based Technology products and services
- Experience integrating suppliers and team members introduce through M&A activity
- Highly refined executive presence with both written and verbal communication abilities across all audiences
- Prior experience leading procurement negotiations within Fortune 100 organizations
- Proven track record of stakeholder management and influencing outcomes
- Ability to lead global team with team members and stakeholders in North America, LATAM, APAC, and Europe and drive outcomes across borders/cultures

The salary range for this role is $191,800 to $364,800 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
