Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. This includes utilizing a workflow management platform to organize, analyze, and track incoming information, as well as collaborating with other teams to clarify the information and communicating changes to stakeholders
  • Assess, research, and respond accurately and clearly to compliance inquiries by the given deadline. If a compliance issue is found, work on a remediation plan
  • Prepare for and act as subject matter expert (SME) in response to inquiries and audit requests. This includes becoming familiar with regulatory requirements, becoming familiar with OptumRx policies and processes, and maintaining tools to ensure alignment between them all 
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures, for example analyzing policy content for accuracy and consistency and making edits
  • Support Optum Licensing by providing accurate and timely responses
  • Assist as needed with audit-related activities by promptly prioritizing requests to locate and provide information to audit teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of direct experience with prior authorizations within a PBM, including experience using prior authorization management system and claims platform
  • Experience writing and editing with a high level of proficiency, for example, writing a detailed research paper, white paper, position paper, training documents, or other complex documents
  • Experience demonstrating a high level of organization skill, self-motivation, and ability to prioritize, such as managing multiple tasks or projects with various deadlines
  • Experience in any of the following: team lead, project lead, project management experience, or other problem solving or resolution experience
  • Audit, regulatory, or legal work experience
  • Basic proficiency in MS/Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven effective verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills, such as presenting information and Q&A to large groups, or presenting status updates and solutions to senior leaders

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience with organizational tools such as OneNote, Visio, SharePoint, Access, or MS Project

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
