Senior Software Engineer II – Java Backend

We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior Consultant with a solid foundation in data engineering, DevOps, and full stack development. The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of IT experience, with recent emphasis on leveraging Generative AI tools like GitHub Copilot to accelerate innovation and delivery. This role demands a hands-on leader who can architect and implement scalable backend systems, contribute to frontend development, and drive automation across the software lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of backend systems using SQL, Stored Procedures, Python, and Batch Files
• Build and maintain modern web applications using React, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Develop APIs and microservices to support data-driven applications
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps (TFS), and Airflow
• Integrate and optimize workflows using Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot
• Conduct requirement elicitation sessions and translate business needs into technical solutions
• Collaborate across teams in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments, participating in sprint ceremonies and backlog grooming
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical leadership and ensuring delivery excellence

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Backend: SQL, Stored Procedures, Python, Batch Files
• Frontend: React, Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript
• DevOps & CI/CD: GitHub, Azure DevOps (TFS), Airflow
• Testing: TestCafe or similar automation tools
• AI Tools: GitHub Copilot, other GenAI accelerators
• Data Engineering: SSIS, Data Warehousing, Data Integration
• Frameworks: Agile, Scrum, Kanban

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering enterprise-scale solutions
