As a Short Range Planning Analyst, you will grow and develop as you conduct and manage outcomes of various studies. You will be challenged to analyze, review, and forecast data for operational and business planning. As part of this elite team, you will be empowered to impact the health care system through the analysis and interpretation of data, and presenting recommendations for business solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create statistical model in collaboration with other workforce, operations, and financial teams/inputs by utilizing business intelligence and strategies to drive success throughout every layer of workforce management
  • Collaborative ownership of the capacity management of resources with emphasis on:
    • Geographic down to individual site/real estate headcounts and the corresponding seating capacity/availability (10+ Geographies)
    • Contractual obligations/Service delivery requirements
    • Vendor selection and distribution recommendations (1-2 vendors)
  • Collaborate on the creation and delivery of selected vendor locked forecasts and drive accountability for staffing capacity throughout all levels of vendor leaders and internal vendor management partners. (1-2 vendors)
  • Partner with recruiting/sourcing to determine resource/location match within certain geographies
  • Generate/Distribute and track specific vendor locked forecasts (multiple vendors)
  • Develop and drive mitigation strategies for specific business plans (80-250) and their corresponding FTE counts (1500-5000)
  • Own training/project burn down plans and impacts for their specific LOB and vendor group
  • Drive consistency in outlook and approach
  • Find creative solutions to complex problems through data management and analytics
  • Ensure vendors are delivering on their plans and providing valuable insight to the supply team for future forecast decision making
  • Improve processes to optimize performance and value over time
  • Be a strong change agent and resilient to roadblocks
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively identified solutions
  • Plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work to meet established objectives

  • Advanced understanding of analytic and presentation tools (Excel, PPT, Access, etc)

  • Superior planning and organizational skills that effectively allocate and manage resources across the site
  • Solid problem-solving skills that enable quick identification and efficient resolution of issues
  • Expert negotiation skills

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in service operations center, call center or Workforce Management that support populations of 1,500+ FTE’s across at least two different geographical locations
  • 2+ years of experience with Workforce Management software (such as IEX, eWFM)
  • 2+ years of vendor management or BPO collaboration 
  • 2+ years of scheduling and forecasting experience
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing projects involving populations greater than 3,000 FTE’s
  • Advanced understanding of analytic and presentation tools (Excel, PPT, Access, etc)

  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working in analytical research, logistics, or reporting environments 
  • Experience scheduling, conducting planning meetings, and managing capacity 
  • Prior health care industry experience 
  • Understanding of call center systems telecom hardware (PBX, ACD, IVR), call software tools and / or programming requirements (CMS modifications, vector scripting)  
  • Proven track record of identifying defects and process variation, and working to improve processes and reduce defects

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
