As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, Lead, you will be responsible for performing moderately complex and/or specialized patient-oriented procedures under the supervision of a clinician or Registered Nurse (RN) to ensure that patients receive appropriate care. You will also be responsible for performing operational duties as required under the supervision of the site administrator or designee.

Primary Responsibilities:

• In the team lead capacity, provides training and clinical support to other members within the site
• Direct patient to proper exam/treatment area and prepare the patient for examinations and other procedures. Assist in the transportation of patients and patient flow
• Obtain records and report vital signs and other pertinent patient information to the RN or clinician
• Administer medication, perform various patient tests, and instruct patients on procedural preparations under the supervision of the clinician or RN
• As the clinician orders, notify pharmacies of new prescriptions and authorizations of new refills
• Collect, label, and transport various specimens to appropriate destinations
• Maintain and cleans exam/treatment areas and medical equipment
• Maintain logs, records of medical procedures, and inventories of supplies
• Perform telephone screening
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program
• Active, unrestricted CA LVN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain at the time of hire
• I.V. and blood withdraw certified
• 2+ years of experience working as an LVN/LPN

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)certification  
• Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certification  
• 3+ years of experience working as an LVN/LPN

The hourly range for this role is $23.70 to $46.35 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
