Software Engineering Lead – Bot Development

We are looking for a lead developer to design, build, and implement voice bot solutions that meet business needs. candidate will be responsible for defining technical solutions from end-to-end, creating clear documentation, and working closely with development and business teams to deliver high-quality products. This role involves all phases of software engineering and requires Solid collaboration skills in a dynamic, matrixed organization.
- Bot Development – Design, Develop and deploy conversational applications using Azure Bot Framework on Google Dialog flow
- Requirements analysis and estimation
- Investigate issues and provide analysis
- Defect tracking, troubleshooting, reporting, and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate bots for optimized functionality and scalability.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define and architect end-to-end solutions, proactively engaging with external teams throughout the project
- Create clear, concise documentation for backend integrations, business logic, and technical details
- Collaborate closely with development teams and business stakeholders to communicate design overviews and integration plans
- Translate requirements into technical design and implementation ensuring alignment with architectural standards
- Mentor Junior developers by providing technical guidance and promote best practices
- Manage all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, application design, code development, and testing
- Design and develop reusable components, patterns, and frameworks to drive innovation and enhance team productivity
- Develop, test, and implement voice bots using technologies such as Google Dialog Flow, Amazon Lex, or similar cloud platforms
- Serve as the subject-matter expert on voice bot development and design best practices
- Utilize CI/CD and IaC tools (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform) and version control systems (e.g., GitHub) to maintain efficient and effective development processes
- Occasionally work off-hours as needed to support implementation windows (no regular on-call requirements)
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and equivalent
- 6+ years of experience in software development in analysis, design, development, deployment and testing phases with a broad technical background in architecture definition and Enterprise or voice-based systems implementation
- Hands-on experience in developing chatbots or Voice BOTs (voice bots preferred)
- Experience with any of the tool Bot Framework Composer (Azure), Google Dialogflow (Google) or Amazon Lex (Amazon)
- Experience with CI/CD continuous integration/continuous delivery tools like Jenkins Pipeline, GitHub, Terraform etc.
- Experience with build automation tools like Maven
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud and AWS
- Solid understanding of Contact Center technologies with specialization in any cloud platform like Azure, AWS or Google cloud
- Solid understanding of Contact Center technologies with experience in cloud-based voice bot platforms
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage robust conversational applications
- Familiarity with Google Dialogflow and Playbook is added advantage
- Familiarity with continuous integration or continuous delivery tools and source code repositories
- Knowledge of application monitoring software and tools such as Splunk
- Proven highly motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, technical and communication skills along with strong analytical and debugging abilities
- Proven excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across multiple teams
