Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical lead on our most demanding, cross-functional projects
- Ensure the quality of architecture and design of systems
- Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions
- Fully and completely understand system inter dependencies and limitations
- Identify, prioritize and execute tasks using the agile development methodology
- Be able to understand Product / Project / Consumer priorities and deliver features with in time and budget
- Be able to understand and implement CI/CD deployment pipelines
- Explore new technologies and perform POC to propose solutions to the business problems
- Assist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical issues and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Solid technical credentials, with 15+ years of technical engineering leadership, with 5+ years of experience in large scale distributed system development including hands on operational experience
- Proven solid Individual contributor with hands-on experience on Java/J2EE, Microservices, Spring boot, Kafka, Elastic Search, Cassandra, Kibana, Redis, Kubernetes, GitHub
- Solid hands-on experience on Cloud environment and architectures, preferably AWS
- Proven experience with full development life cycle for large-scale software products including extensive experience with service-oriented architectures, design patterns and web services
- Experience mentoring/training an engineering community on development best practices
- Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, asynchronous architectures and distributed algorithms
- In-depth knowledge of system programming, Deep understanding of system performance tradeoffs, load balancing, and engineering for high availability
- Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, distributed architecture, and engineering best practices
- Leverage knowledge of internal and industry prior knowledge in design decisions
- Proven excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields
- Knowledge on machine learning, natural language processing, data mining, predictive analysis, Big Data analytics
- Knowledge on Python, Terraform, Grafana, Prometheus
- Knowledge on Angular, Spark, AWS Athena, AWS Lambda
- Knowledge on MDM is preferable
