Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership and Vision
- Define the overall SRE strategy, aligning it with the company’s technology and business objectives
- Establish goals for reliability, latency, performance, and capacity in collaboration with other engineering and product leaders
- Reliability and Incident Management
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of systems to meet service-level objectives
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design robust architectures that minimize downtime and latency
- Develop and refine incident response processes, ensuring rapid resolution and a culture of blameless postmortems to identify root causes
- Observability and Tooling
- Champion best-in-class monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions to gain deep insights into system health and performance
- Evaluate, select, and implement tools and automation that enhance scalability, reduce operational overhead, and improve reliability
- Process Ownership and Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as chaos engineering, capacity planning, and load testing to enhance resilience
- Establish clear documentation processes for systems, incident response playbooks, and team best practices
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with product, engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure that reliability features are integrated early in the development life cycle
- Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders on risks, trade-offs, and infrastructure investment needs
- Security and Compliance
- Institute secure configuration practices and work with security teams to address compliance requirements (eg, ISO, SOC 2, GDPR) in the context of reliability
- Implement automated compliance checks and monitoring to reduce the risk of security incidents impacting SLAs
- Innovation and Technical Thought Leadership
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies (eg, container orchestration, serverless, AI/ML for observability)
- Advocate for adopting – and contributing to – open-source projects that bolster reliability and scalability
- Metrics and Reporting
- Provide regular updates to the leadership team on service health, improvement initiatives, and strategic reliability goals
- Team Building and Management
- Recruit, mentor, and manage SRE managers and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Ensure that the team’s skills evolve alongside changing business requirements and technological advances
- Set clear performance goals, create career development paths, and promote knowledge sharing and cross-training
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate or Post-graduate degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering
- 10+ years of multiple apps and teams’ management experience
- Deliverables experience in Billing Applications (mainly ORMB application)
- Knowledge in Online and Reporting applications and corresponding core Billing app
- Knowledge in AI/ML & Automation solutions on Business SOP’s and engineering solutions
- Hands-on in designing software solutions and architecture
- Hands-on in using design patterns
- Solid knowledge of Agile practices and DevOps
- Expertise in DevOps, multi-App and multi team management with Business relations
- Proven solid analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a global team with a positive team spirit
