Patient Service Representative Supervisor for CareCoach Connect

The CareCoach Connect Patient Services Representative Supervisor is responsible for assisting in maintaining patient visits and for coordinating, and mapping schedules for CareCoach Connect providers. The PSR Supervisor will monitor their employees activities including employees collecting and distributing test results and follow through with referrals/authorizations for patients after completion of visits.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitors that employees are calling and scheduling appointments correctly
- Assists providers with distribution of medical results from patient’s visits
- Interacts with staff through out CareCoach Connect within market and partnering as well with other markets
- Ensures efficient telephone communication with patients and providers
- Recognizes and responds appropriately to priority situations by transferring calls to provider, supervisor, or mobile team staff
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with external and internal providers, staff and other departments
- Ensures program enrollment is completed per the direction of the provider
- Follows written protocols and procedures of the CareCoach Connect team
- Documents work processes effectively as required by procedure
- Demonstrates courtesy and willingness to assist patients and their families
- Manages medical records including maintaining, filing, scanning, and preparing for scheduled visits
- Collaborates with other members of leadership to writing and dictating work flows and SOPs
- Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed in timely manner by staff
- Coordinates with external and internal teams in following protocol for patients unable to reach
- Completes audits on staff Action Items, Discrepancies, and Unlocked Notes
- Reviews charts for outstanding referral services and ensuring staff is timely on them
- Assists the provider with questions on their schedules and referral questions
- Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED
- 1+ years of supervisory experience of a team or project
- Experience in navigating Internet tools such as Google Maps and Map Quest
- Efficient with Microsoft Office applications to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology
- Ability to accurately sort and file materials by alphabetic or numeric systems
- Effective communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
- Experience working in a physician’s office, clinical, or hospital setting
- Experience working in EMR
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) language proficiency
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 35 pounds of force
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to use fine motor skills to operate equipment and/or machinery
- Ability to properly drive and operate a company vehicle
- Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
- Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
The salary range for this role is $49,300 to $96,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
