Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs advanced LMS System Administrator duties for the Client Learning Thought Industries (TI) program, with a particular emphasis on site and content design and development
  • Fulfill a variety of common and uncommon client LMS requests with minimal guidance, using consultative skills to analyze needs, and work cooperatively with the client to propose and implement effective solutions
  • Employ instructional design skills to create or revise content natively in the LMS
  • Assist clients with LMS site design and development, including layout and branding of user-interface pages and dashboards, customized pages using HTML and CSS, and regular page maintenance
  • Manage the end-to-end execution of proposed and assigned projects
  • Support user requests, including local admins, internal or external clients, and learners
  • Conduct LMS demos and client training sessions for internal or external client partners, local admins, L&D peers and learners
  • Cross-train in LMS system administrative functions, including learner profile maintenance, live event management, reporting, and API integrations
  • Participate in or lead projects and gather requirements to support customer needs
  • Collaborate with peers across Optum and UHG to troubleshoot, evaluate and improve LMS solutions
  • Communicate effectively with internal or external clients, learners, peers and leadership
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years as an LMS System Administrator (Thought Industries preferred)
  • 3+ years as an Instructional Designer
  • 3+ years employing eLearning authoring tools (Storyline or Rise preferred) 
  • Advanced proficiency with LMS reporting tools, including designing reports from scratch and report scheduling
  • Advanced proficiency with LMS system settings, self-paced and instructor-led course management, learner profile management, assignment processes and notification tools
  • HTML and CSS proficiency
  • Demonstrated ability in UI/UX development in an LMS or similar tool, including landing page and resource page design, intra-system content development, and branding
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex customer issues with a minimum of guidance
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, think critically, solve problems and manage/prioritize time
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and communicate outcomes to key stakeholders

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years project management or related experience, preferably in a learning capacity
  • Working knowledge of API connectivity 
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Optum internal or external clients and their LMS development needs
  • Demonstrated solid presentation skills, leading system demonstrations and user training sessions
  • Demonstrated ability to train internal or external clients and L&D peers on LMS role-based functionality
