This position will support the Optum Whole Health Solutions business inclusive of budgeting/forecasting, monthly reporting, variance analysis, cost allocation modeling and other ad hoc financial support. Position will work closely with finance product leaders to consolidate product/channel financials and provide business leadership with meaningful financial data to support strategic decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Consolidates the forecast across multiple products, ensures accurate GL loads and completes corporate deliverables
• Develops and maintains SG&A expense allocation model for product profitability reporting by channel
• Month-end close activities including collaboration with the accounting team on early estimates
• Produces financial reports on actual results versus forecast with variance commentary
• Analyze trends in revenue, profitability, membership and SG&A
• Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for business leadership, ensuring timely and accurate information is communicated in polished reports and presentations

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• 2+ years of financial planning and analysis experience
• Proficient in Excel with pivot tables, charts and complex formulas
• Ability to work regular EST/CST business hours 8am-5pm

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA
• Healthcare experience
• Accounting experience
• Experience using Essbase/Smart View, Power BI and PeopleSoft Financials
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate in a matrix organization while positively influencing others
• Self-starter able to deal with ambiguity and change while prioritizing to meet aggressive deadlines

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $58,800 to $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
