Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the performance and direction of the integration team through multiple layers of management and senior level staff internal and external for NEW client onboarding of MPP to deal model financials
  • This role is revenue supporting and generating to fulfill our contractual and deal model requirements to for Operations for Allina Health System. Develops and executes strategies/levers for a function or discipline that span a large business unit or multiple markets/sites/clients
  • Directs others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines within integration timeline/process onboarding of MPP clients into our standards to create scale & leverage strategy to support C&P and efficiency for Revenue Services.  Delivery of funded capabilities through MPP deals and is expected to deliver quality and operational performance results
  • This role is responsible for delivering 10 deal model initiatives to support financial outcomes for client and Optum.  Incentive payments along with shared financial results
  • Manage and direct delivery to cost expectations and deal model financials Revenue Services (Front/Middle/Back) for Allina Health and Optum.  Enable/Deliver on incentive capture, vendor savings, efficiencies and globalization while maintaining industry best practice for KPI/OPI operational metrics
  • RCM expertise and experience in managing operations, organizational change mgmt., project mgmt., leadership, business process analytics 
  • Demonstrate understanding of relevant organizations’ operations, products and applications, strategies, processes, and/or business priorities in order to build effective solutions
  • Develop, demonstrate, and continuously improve understanding of upstream and downstream impacts to partners of business process operations and solutions
  • Facilitate/Oversee/Monitor Implementation of Business Process Solutions including technology
  • Gather and/or document information on stakeholders’ business requirements, specifications, and/or needs (e.g., conduct intake process; ask questions; review project charter; monitor regulation; review reports)
  • Analyze business process information (e.g., metrics; analytics) to identify key issues, trends, and potential root causes (e.g., training issues; lack of understanding by user community) that point to improvement opportunities
  • Work with relevant stakeholders (e.g., end users; SMEs; sponsors) to establish appropriate criteria and goals (e.g., efficiency; effectiveness) to direct investigation into problems and potential solutions
  • Identify risks and opportunities associated with current processes
  • Synthesize relevant information (e.g., IT; analytics; business operations) to develop appropriate criteria and goals (e.g., efficiency; effectiveness) for proposed solutions
  • Translate technical and/or regulatory needs (e.g., analytics; IT) into business operations processes
  • Document actionable solutions using appropriate artifacts (e.g., PowerPoint deck; written document) in order to describe existing opportunities and proposed solutions
  • Demonstrate understanding of basic process management and total quality management principles and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma; Lean)
  • Create and/or oversee processes to gather stakeholder feedback on solution effectiveness
  • Monitor on-going progress of business processes (e.g., collect and review data; shadow end users; review pertinent metrics) to identify potential challenges, risks, and/or defects
  • Assess and/or document the outcomes (e.g., risks; benefits; impacts) of business decisions and/or changes (e.g., new client implementations; new health-care regulations) on implemented business processes
  • Communicate with stakeholders (e.g., senior leadership; end users) to keep them informed of key performance indicators and/or risks through informal and/or formal reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., senior leadership; end users) to ensure consistent use and application of solutions across functions and teams
  • Utilize stakeholder (e.g., senior leadership; end user) feedback and/or process performance information to identify potential continuous improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with demonstrated experience in communication and collaborating, and presenting to stakeholders (e.g., senior leadership; end users) to keep them informed of key performance indicators and/or risks through informal and/or formal reporting
  • 3+ years of experience in RCM Operational Oversight / Leadership role
  • 3+ years of experience with integration of client operations, products and applications, strategies, processes, and/or business priorities in order to build effective solutions
  • 2+ years supporting a health system
  • 2+ years in Consulting and Technical Leadership role
  • 2+ years in Project Management and Planning role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Process Improvement 6 Sigma background
  • 2+ years of EPIC, Community Connect, Cerner, GE/IDX EMR experience
  • Proven strategy development and execution of 2-5 year plans

The salary range for this role is $124,500 to $239,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
