This position is full time, Tuesday – Saturday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and weekends. Our offices are located at Vacaville Hospital – 1010 Nut Tree Street, Vacaville, CA, 95687 and NorthBay Fairfield Hospital – 1200 B Gale Wilson Blvd, Fairfield, CA, 94533. Tuesday – Friday position will be based at Vacaville Hospital and Saturdays will be based out of NorthBay Fairfield Hospital.

This will be paid on-the-job training and the hours during training will be 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PST from Tuesday – Saturday.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Scans documents into patients charts
  • Files documents into patients charts
  • Must have Medical office experience and understand the difference between medical record document types (i.e., radiology, labs, hospital consults)
  • Must be extremely detailed oriented and have the ability to multi – task
  • Will conduct rounds at the facility to collect discharge documentation
  • Responsible for release of information as needed
  • Destruction of records
  • Utilize Cerner and EBRS system to enter date for birth certificates
  • Provide face – to – face customer service at the facility
  • Knowledge of State requirements / rules and guidelines for Birth Certificates
  • Other duties as assigned

 

This is a high volume, customer service environment. You’ll need to be efficient, productive and thorough.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent years of work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical office and / OR medical records position
  • Experience with computers and Windows based programs including Microsoft Word (create, edit, save, and send documents), Microsoft Excel (create, edit, sort, filter), Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to type and talk at the same time and navigate through multiple screens
  • Access to reliable transportation and a Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (Domestic)
  • Reside within a commutable distance to Vacaville, CA OR Fairfield, CA
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PST from Tuesday – Saturday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of related work experience including data entry
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • Experience with EMR computer applications
  • Cerner experience

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 – $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
