This job requires you to have good communication skills with staff, and patients. Knowledge of being in the Health Care field, and time management skills, such as calling patients back in a timely manner with healthcare concerns. This job requires you to make notes, create or send referrals, have good telephone etiquette, and check E-faxes daily. While doing this job you will also learn how to create telephone encounters, and E-Prescribing along with creating, and inputting Tricare Referrals.
This position is full time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Our office is located at 325 Broad St., Sumter, SC.
This will be paid on-the-job training and the hours during training will be aligned with your schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
- It is the responsibility of Call Backs and referrals to handle referrals of patients who are inside and outside of the practice, check on the status of referrals and to communicate with patients providing status of referrals
- It is also the responsibility to facilitate the calls and voicemails from patients pertaining to concerns, questions, refills and appropriately documenting in patient chart via telephone encounters
- Call backs and referral employees work under the direct supervision of their provider and will advise the provider as appropriate to take care of patient needs

- Documenting notes in Referrals
- Documentation in Telephone encounters
- Creating Telephone encounters
- E-Prescribing medications
- Checking E-Prescribing log
- Accessing and Checking outlook Email
- E-Faxing
- Telephone Etiquette
- Accessing and Checking Voicemails
- Checking E-Fax daily
- Signatures on results from providers before scanning documents

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent years of work experience
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- Certified Medical Assistant
- CPR / BLS Certified
- Ability to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Health Care OR Office experience
- Knowledge of Medical terminology
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 – $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
