The Project Coordinator will coordinate documentation and project management office implementations across the NY All Payer Database (APD) project. In addition, this position will have shared responsibilities to support the NY APD Optum Help Desk as a Tier 2 analyst.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Core Project Management- provide support for meeting scheduling, facilitation, note taking and prompt action item tracking/follow up
- Project management via a project plan developed with stakeholders including scope, RACI, etc. to drive successful completion of milestones, timelines, and deliverables using Microsoft Project Online
- Use proven project management methodology and change management processes to support project execution
- Collaborate across workstream dependencies to manage risk/mitigation, project progress and issue resolution efforts across the program
- Help in incident/problem management process and foster remediation of incident and problem tickets by coordinating with various stakeholders internally/externally
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reports as well as other documentation to meet contractual obligations for the program
- Pragmatic out-of-box approach to derive solutions to complex problems and/or simple to moderate analysis for help desk/project management areas
- Translates concepts into operational practice
- Partners with other NY APD leaders/stakeholders to identify/define performance planning/measures, tracking and reporting objectives
- Maintains project and process knowledge to support best practice identification and implementation
- Develops performance, project status, meeting correspondence and ad hoc reports for various levels of management

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years project management experience
- 3+ years of experience in successfully delivering on operational projects in a matrix environment
- Experience within a database environment or SQL query skills
- Experience effectively documenting processes and prioritizing multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines
- Experienced being in a remote setting and within a virtual team environment
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, SharePoint administration
- Advanced level of Microsoft Word, including creating templates, title and ribbon bars, formatting etc.
- Proven to work towards or have achieved certification in project management
- Proven to display professional maturity and emotional resilience
- Proven sense of ownership, accountability and a “can do” attitude
- Proven to seek ways to improve job and operational efficiencies, and makes suggestions as appropriate
- Proven to work in a matrixed environment to drive efficiencies through influence
- Proven to be comfortable with status reporting and formal presentation
- Proven good organization and comprehension capabilities with a keen eye on details
- Proven excellent problem-solving skills
- Proven to be skilled working through stakeholder challenges and ability to see past individual goals to get project team to work towards the program/project
- Proven to be a self-starter and ability to understand the “why, what, how and when” and leverage that understanding to drive to solutions
- Proven ability to successfully conceptualize an initiative, develop a plan and execute through implementation
- Proven ability to influence and work with internal and external stakeholders/resources to move projects and programs forward and overcome any challenges
- Proven ability to build and maintain solid relationships across a large, complex organization

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
