Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and support payor contract negotiation in compliance with company templates, reimbursement structure standards and other key process controls
- Work with Health Care Economics, Finance, and other appropriate teams to estimate the financial impact of current and new payor contracts to inform negotiation strategy
- Act as a resource on existing payor contracts through appropriate reading, understanding, and organization of contracts and contract databases
- Maintain positive and productive relationships with payor partners and other key stakeholders
- Review work performed by others and provide recommendations for improvement
- Forecast and plan resource requirements
- Authorize deviations from standards

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in payor or provider contracting
- 3+ years of experience in the health care industry
- Ability to read and understand provider standard provider/ payor contract provisions
- Knowledge of healthcare provider reimbursement methodologies, including Capitation, Medicare Resource Based Relative Value System (RBRVS), DRGs, Ambulatory Surgery Center Groupers, etc.
- Ability to travel 10%

- Based in Arizona or New Mexico

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
