Consultant Business Systems – Financial Data, Hardware Data

Positions in this function create and deliver high quality system solutions for our applications, products and services across all technology functions. They consult with users and technology specialists to define business processes and the information systems for supporting those processes. Individuals in these roles may perform analysis and also serve as business liaisons to understand and refine business requirements. They provide technical support in developing systems that are cost effective and meet users’ requirements. This function works to create systems that work together in a cohesive manner, enforcing standards and methods consistently across the enterprise. Roles may support both current system improvements and maintenance along with new system development. Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure hardware budget adherence
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to deliver measurable financial savings
- Analyze cost drivers and implement strategies to reduce hardware costs
- Forecast hardware needs based on historical data, project pipelines and business growth
- Analyze inventory turnover and recommend optimization strategies
- Support financial reporting, variance analysis and forecasting activities with data-backed recommendations
- Communicate key metrics, findings and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner
- Assist with reconciliation, chargeback and reporting related to hardware inventory and services spend
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Leverage data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) for insights and automation
- Works with less structured, more complex issues
- Serves as a resource to others
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, inventory management, or a related analytical role
- Proven experience in forecasting, financial modeling and variance analysis
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Proven track record of delivering financial savings and maintaining budget compliance
- Proven advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros); experience with data visualization tools like Power BI
- Solid understanding of inventory control principles and forecasting methodologies
- Proven solid quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Demonstrated ability to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization
- Proven detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey findings to stakeholders
- Proven comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment and managing multiple priorities
