Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance feedback
- Develop, implement, and refine test strategies and frameworks for event driven cloud applications, including integration, performance, functional, and system testing
- Design comprehensive test plans and cases tailored to cloud-based and event driven systems, ensuring rigorous coverage of edge cases, error handling, and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and product release cycles
- Oversee test automation initiatives, selecting and implementing suitable tools and frameworks for continuous testing and monitoring
- Drive testing operations on Azure cloud services -leveraging Azure Event Hubs, Service Bus, Functions, and other related services – to ensure applications are performing optimally in the cloud
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues in distributed systems, working with development teams to identify root causes and drive resolutions
- Ensure that testing environments are properly configured, maintained, and reflect production configurations for accurate testing outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in QA processes and practices, leveraging both new technologies and risk-based testing approaches
- Monitor quality metrics and KPIs, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders to support data-driven decisions
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in event driven architectures and cloud computing
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in Software Development Testing (Unit testing, System/Integration testing, Acceptance Testing, API testing, Performance Testing)
- 5+ years of experience working in a backend, database, EDW, or ETL environment
- 5+ year of experience with one or more of the following test tools and frameworks: Selenium, Jmeter, Postman, Cucumber, Java, etc.
- Experience with Azure cloud services like Cosmos, Service Bus, Snowflake, Event-grid
- Experience implementing quality engineering practices in CI / CD pipeline or workflows, version control, test management, and integrating automation frameworks
- Experience working with complex XML/JSON, SQL transactions
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms, with hands-on experience implementing and testing solutions on Azure cloud services
