Primary Responsibilities:

  • Champion Site Reliability principles and foster a culture of automation, ownership, and continuous improvement across the Rebates Modernization team
  • Drive and build automation around our Service Level Objectives within the Rebates domain to ensure we are meeting customer expectations and meeting our SLAs
  • Lead our Incident Management policies and procedures
  • Fine tune and deliver solutions to ensure scalability within our tech stack
  • Build our Monitoring solution for RxMax
  • Support a P1, high-availability application with active-active architecture, ensuring resilience, fault tolerance, and minimal downtime
  • Implement and maintain observability practices, including logging, monitoring, and alerting; experience with defining and tracking SLOs and SLAs is a solid plus
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring of applications
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for any monitoring solutions
  • Support and maintain systems during the migration from IBMi/AS400 and DB2 to a modern Azure-based stack, including Azure Hyperscale SQL,
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, Azure Databricks, Change Data Capture (CDC) and Kafka for real-time data synchronization
  • Assist in implementing blue-green deployments and other progressive delivery strategies to ensure smooth transitions during modernization
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or related engineering role
  • 6+ years working with a High Availability application or system
  • 4+ years of experience with Monitoring and Observability tools like Splunk, DataDog, or Dynatrace
  • 4+ years experience with Azure
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows environments
  • Experience working in distributed, cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
  • Familiarity with ITSM practices and automation
  • Solid communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
