We are excited to share that we are looking for a Senior Director of Services and Solutions Development to join our team based in London.

The role will be pivotal in leading the strategic design and delivery of innovative, scalable value propositions that directly support the NHS priorities and improve outcomes across our health and care system.

Reporting into our Chief Product Officer, you will form part of our leadership team, where you will contribute to our mission as an organisation, where we are committed to making the system work better for everyone.

What you’ll do

We operate in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and the ability to adapt quickly is key.

You will build trusted relationships with your peers and teams across Optum and UHG, as well as partners in the market, to design and deliver high quality customer value propositions which underpin the growth of our business in the UK.

Other key responsibilities and accountabilities will include; 

·        Assist in the definition and be responsible for the execution of a roadmap for services and solutions that align with NHS and Optum UK’s North Star.

·        Lead a team of solution directors who will be accountable for their value propositions under your leadership.

·        Lead on and define our UK business processes and key KPIs for developing new solutions and services reporting.

·        You will own the roadmap and capital planning processes for each solution, supporting corporate business planning processes.

·        Build and nurture a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

·        You will identify emerging needs and opportunities in the health and care market, shaping propositions that deliver measurable value and impact.

·        Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of solution and services development. Working with our Business Development team to assist in shaping business cases, working with our Product teams for components that support, through to helping our Delivery teams to implement these solutions in the market.

 

Who you’ll be

Experience of operating at Leadership level is essential to enable you to succeed in this role, along with proven experience working within healthcare innovation, digital health, or service transformation.

The ability to build trusted and credible relationships with your peers and wider teams across the organisation is essential, as well as fostering collaborative relationships with external partners.

Other useful skills and experience include:

  • Demonstrated deep understanding of NHS structures, commissioning, and current system pressures
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programmes in health or care
  • Proven great commercial acumen and ability to align business goals with public sector value
  • Proven excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
