As a Data Scientist, you will join the pharmacy analytics team to support data-driven decision-making in healthcare. Working under the guidance of senior team members, you will help analyze healthcare datasets, build predictive models, and create clear reports and dashboards for business stakeholders. You’ll contribute to projects aimed at improving clinical and operational outcomes, while learning best practices in data science and analytics. This role involves tackling challenging and business-critical tasks, with opportunities to become a thought leader for the wider team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing data from various sources for analysis
  • Support the development of predictive models and statistical analyses to address business questions
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and patterns
  • Create visualizations and summary reports to communicate insights to business users
  • Work with team members to refine dashboards and reports for ongoing business needs
  • Help ensure accuracy of data processes by following documentation standards
  • Participate in team meetings to understand project goals, share progress, and learn new analytical techniques

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field; or equivalent practical experience
  • Familiarity with Python (or R) for basic data manipulation and statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of SQL for querying databases
  • Ability to use Excel and interest in learning visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Basic understanding of core data science concepts and data preprocessing

Preferred Qualification:

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (such as Azure or AWS), GitHub version control, or tools like Databricks/Snowflake/Airflow
  • Familiarity with healthcare datasets or previous experience working within pharmaceutical/healthcare consulting

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn new techniques in statistics and machine learning
  • Good communication skills for sharing findings with teammates and stakeholders
