As a Product Manager, within Clinical Solutions – Prospective Risk and Quality Service, you will be a Product Owner of one or more scrum teams and be responsible for functioning as the voice of the customer within product engineering teams to ensure the specification, prioritization, delivery, and commercialization of RQ products.
You will deliver on product strategy and vision, leading the strategic build of our data and analytics capabilities utilizing agile delivery process. The role is associated with the Optum Insight technology teams that provide prospective, concurrent, and retrospective quality and risk evaluations for Medicare, Medicare Advantage, ACA, and Medicaid plan members across UHC, Optum Health and other Commercial Payers.
As a Product Manager in this area, you will ensure the delivery of marketable capabilities, and engage with key stakeholders to define, document, and prioritize features and collaborate with the agile scrums team to deliver. By converting requirements to technical requirements, define acceptance criteria across various initiative levels for internal products whilst focusing on Falcon AI commercialization.
You must have excellent communication, organization, documentation, and presentation skills, and positive energy. You must be able to identify, facilitate, and drive a business solution to completion, along with the technical and business competency to ensure the correct outcome.
Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours of Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Product owner of one or more scrum teams
- Work with product manager to obtain voice of customer (VOC) and identify capabilities to add to the product
- Aid in the prioritization of capabilities and features
- Deconstruct features into user stories to be executed by the scrum teams
- Produce a healthy backlog by grooming four sprints worth of user’s stories
- Prioritize backlog based on priority established by the product manager
- Define and provide direction for user experience and user interface
- Conduct Voice of Customer (VOC) research and interviews to define product capabilities and features
- Create user documentation and internal marketing material for product promotion

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) OR equivalent experience
- Product management experience
- Healthcare experience or any related domain
- Experience working in the healthcare analytics space on clinical and claims data sources
- Experience in agile software development methodologies, and collaborating with cross-functional product owners, data scientists, business SMEs and agile engineering teams
- Product owner experience on an Agile scrum team
- Experience writing features and user stories
- Experience writing end-user documentation
- Experience developing marketing material
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with US healthcare and healthcare claims data
- Subject matter experience in US CMS quality and risk programs
- Subject matter expertise in the Risk Adjustment space
- Experience with the specification, delivery, and commercialization of AI products
- Experience working on cloud-based, enterprise applications with analytics components
- Experience working with Data Science teams developing clinical analytical components
- Previous product owner experience on an Agile scrum team
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or other relevant certifications.
- Product owner or equivalent certification
- Experience with product management tools like Aha, Rally, and GitHub
- Understanding of architecture principles and DevOps methodology
- Experience with integration testing/automation practices
- Ability to identify training needs, coach, and mentor teams
Soft Skills:
- Written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting
