Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement AI tools – ML models to solve complex business problems
- Develop robust, scalable, and maintainable code that meets the high standards of quality and performance
- Developing scripts or tools to automate repetitive tasks
- Contribute to the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of machine learning models and AI-powered systems for consumer-facing platforms
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle – design, implementation, testing, CI/CD and production operations
- Provide guidance on how to best use specific tools or technologies to achieve the desired results
- Communicate and present complex analytics results and concepts to leadership and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for AI/ML integration
- Creating documentation for infrastructure design and deployment procedures
- Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in the field of AI/ML and software engineering, evaluate new technologies, and propose innovative ways to tackle healthcare challenges
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in both development and production environments
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in computer science or related quantitative field
- 3+ years of experience with software engineering and software development life cycle (SDLC)
- 3+ years of experience with demonstrable proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python
- 2+ years of experience with one of the cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP). Azure cloud experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience as backend developer (Springboot, FastAPI)
- Experience building APIs
- Experience implementing machine learning and AI techniques
- Experience working within the healthcare industry or another regulated environment
- Experience in Python using common data science libraries
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD
- Experience building large-scale, consumer-facing applications
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- AI/ML Expertise: Understanding of core AI and machine learning concepts, models, and algorithms, demonstrated through practical application and system design. Ability to explain complex ideas clearly
- Solid Engineering Fundamentals: Proven growth in software design, data structures, algorithms, and writing clean, testable, and maintainable code
- Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies, comfortable working on tasks requiring exploration and tackling ambiguity
- Proven organized self-starter, with drive and commitment; able to work with little supervision
- Proven solid written & verbal communication skills; including the ability to present detailed analyses to a broad audience
