Functions may include database architecture, engineering, design, optimization, security, and administration, data modeling, big data development, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) development, storage engineering, data warehousing, data provisioning, and other similar roles.
Responsibilities may include on-premises and Cloud solutions with a focus on data stores and associated ecosystems. Duties may include:
- Management of design services including Teradata, Informatica, Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.
- Providing sizing and configuration assistance.
- Ensuring strict data quality.
- Performing needs assessments.
Analyzes current business practices, processes, and procedures and identifies future business opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval system capabilities. Leads transition from on-premises technology stack to Cloud solution. Manages relationships with software and hardware vendors to understand the potential architectural impact of different vendor strategies and data acquisition. May design schemas: write SQL or other data markup scripting and helps to support the development of Analytics and Applications that build on top of data. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Designs, builds, tests, and adapts delivery solutions that optimize the environment and meet evolving need of customer and business. Leveraging and anticipating modern technologies, e.g. Cloud, AI/ML, to support the transition to full stack proficiency
- Applies technical expertise to bring together ideas, business strategy, system capabilities and customer to establish direction that is aligned with the enterprise strategy
- Applies technical expertise and leadership to guide team in design decisions, technical solutions including transition from on-premises to cloud solution
- Produces design models with high degree of complexity and connect multiple domains and technologies
- Seeks out and applies the standards, concepts, and functionality of all technology/systems within domain including the relationship and interdependencies between technologies
- Performing peer-reviews and providing technical support/guidance to the project team including ETL/ELT developers, database administrators, data/business analysts, quality analysts/testers, and BI developers

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Information Technology experience
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data strategy, and roadmap for a large complex health entity with direct large-scale systems implementation experience
- 7+ years of experience with OLTP, OLAP, and dimensional modeling (e.g. star schemes, slowly changing dimensions, role-playing dimensions, dimensional hierarchies, etc.) techniques
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools used in data quality, profiling, governance, security, metadata management, master data management, and data migration
- 3+ years of experience as a team leader or data manager
- Hands-on experience using Snowflake DBMS Services (Snowsight, SnowSQL, SnowCD, REST API, Snowpark) and Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure and services (Azure Data Factory, DevOps,
- Data Lake Storage, Databricks, Purview, Kubernetes, Maps, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, B2B, Teradata, SQL, Scripts, and BI Reporting tools (such as BI Query, Business Objects)
- Expert level SQL skills with direct experience writing complex analytics queries, stored procedures, DDL, DML and DCL
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Medicaid/Managed Care/health insurance industry.
- Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Power BI Service and Desktop, Tableau, SAS, etc.)
- Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS, T-SQL, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of regulatory security requirements for HIPAA, PHI, PII, FTI including IRS, NIST, FISMA, and SOC2
- Familiarity with A.I., Machine Learning, LLM, Predictive Analytics

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
