Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing expert level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise’s overall systems architecture
- Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise
- Reviews, advises, and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals
- Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards
- Assists in the development of and manages an architecture governance process
- Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate
- Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise’s architecture needs
- Requires limited day to day supervision and guidance on handling unique situations
- Follows established guidelines and interprets policies
- Acts as team lead or project manager on individual projects and on broader programs
- Supervisor to be responsible for providing guidance and leadership for a team of around five to eight engineers

Required Qualifications:
- Technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of IT experience in networks, systems, storage, desktops, and applications, which includes 7+ years of network experience in a large IT operation and 3+ years architecting and administration of systems and data centers
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of backup / recovery and other business continuity services
- Solid understanding of security practices
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office solutions
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop
- Advanced knowledge of alerting and monitoring
- Advanced knowledge of build automation, patch management, automated deployments and packaging
- Valid Texas driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Microsoft Certified Architect
- IBM Certified Infrastructure Systems Architect
- Citrix Certified Integration Architect
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Server+
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
- VMware Certified Professional
- Prior experience in the health care industry including exposure to Epic Systems technologies
- Registered Communications Distribution Designer
- ITIL Foundation
- Solid VBscript , ADSI, WMI and/or PowerShell skills
- Advanced knowledge of UNIX Operating Systems, including Clustering and NLB solutions
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems, including Clustering and NLB solutions
- Advanced knowledge of Windows kernel and registry
- Advanced knowledge of performance tuning
- Advanced knowledge of UML and CMM
- Advanced knowledge of Directory Services Administration (Active Directory, LDAP, ADAM)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior management
- Self-motivated and excels in team and individual environments
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
