The Optum Insight & Optum AI CISO Office Cyber Event Management (CEM) Event Triage Manager participates in both strategic and operational aspects of preparing for and responding to internal and external security events. The CEM Engineer, as part of this team, assists Optum Insight (OI) and Optum AI (OAI) with an average of 20 incidents per month. Additionally, there are typically 2 major incidents each week affecting clients who use various applications, data, and services. The CEM Engineer provides support throughout events, from initial triage to engagement required to contain and resolve issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a main point of contact for OI and OAI’s preparation for and response to internal and external security events
  • Assist the CEM team in developing and guiding a team to manage and enhance responses to security events
  • Support the ongoing readiness and development of a geographically distributed team
  • Contribute to communications regarding both internal and external security incidents
  • Support the closure of long-term remediation efforts related to security events
  • Provide key information for leadership and progress updates to Office of OI & OAI CISO, OI & OAI executive leadership, ESRO, and Optum Tech
  • Act as a subject matter expert in one or more areas
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of repositories aligning OI Clients to Account Representatives to Products Sold to Applications and accountable technical representatives
  • Support the creation of client-to-technology toolsets
  • Provide assistance as needed for OI & OAI BISO and CISO
  • Collaborate with segment stakeholders to support customer and regulatory audits of the Information Security Program
  • Develop understanding and awareness of segment technology, business offerings, products, technology, and processes
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years total professional experience
  • 4+ years of tech operations
  • 4+ years of Security experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting tech/ security incidents
  • Proven excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degrees in IT, Engineering, or Cybersecurity, Technical security certifications
  • 5+ years in a technical role
  • Experience within security incidents
  • Experience in cross functional teams

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
