Principal Proj-Prgm Mgr on WV Path Integrated Eligibility project.  Position is a critical resource responsible for daily management and successful delivery of project deliverables and maintaining project requirements traceability. A highly collaborative resource skilled in client management, coordinating cross functional teams, delivering quality project deliverables, and resolving issues is required to effectively support the project. A successful candidate will also have the ability to take on additional work and provide backup support for other members of the PMO team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all contract deliverables impacted by M&O operations changes and maintenance releases  are updated and approved through the project deliverable process
  • Gathering and updating deliverables, project materials, project documentation, business flows, and lessons learned documents
  • Maintaining the project Requirements Traceability Matrix
  • Providing risk management and issue/problem resolution as required, including proactive identification of potential risks and issues
  • Communicate project details effectively with both business and technical teams throughout all phases of the project
  • Managing cross-functional interdependencies
  • Improving processes to optimize performance and value over time
  • Representing deliverables status to client and Optum leadership
  • Addressing project challenges with client personnel and within Optum
  • Provide backup support for other members of the PMO team

Required Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • 5+ years of IT Project Management experience with large scale implementations
  • 3+ years of external client facing experience 
  • 3+ years of working hands-on with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle
  • 2+ years of experience in project management for a State Medicaid Agency or a large healthcare management organization 
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with an  Integrated Eligibility project
  • 2+ years of experience with project in the M&O phase of the project lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with MS Project
  • Local to Charleston, WV area, with the ability to go to the office one day a week

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
