Primary Responsibilities:
- Participate in meetings/walkthrough session/group meetings to understand business problem/objective of project
- Bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
- Programming Expertise: Utilize your expertise in programming languages such as Python to develop and maintain data engineering & reporting solutions
- Data Management: Proficiency in Snowflake for data wrangling and management, optimizing data structures for analysis
- DBT Utilization: Build and maintain data marts and views using DBT, ensuring data is structured for optimal analysis
- ETL/ELT Solutions: Design ETL/ELT solutions using technologies like Postgres, Snowflake, leveraging methodologies to acquire data from various structured or semi-structured source systems
- Communication: Solid communication skills to explain technical issues and solutions clearly to the Engineering Lead and key stakeholders (as required)
- Partner with business stakeholders for strategic planning, road-mapping, and prioritization
- Act as an individual contributor and come up with use cases for AI/ML implementations for projects being executed
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines using EPL and GitHub, with focus towards secure coding practices
- Infrastructure as Code: Create and maintain Azure Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and GitHub Actions
- Understand and estimate feature based estimation of functionalities, and ensure on-schedule, and on-scope delivery within quality goals
- Ensure compliance with organization and project defined standards and processes and follow proactive vulnerability and secure based development practices
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in designing ETL/ELT solutions using technologies like Snowflake, Postgres
- Experience with Web Services, Web Services Security, REST, SOAP
- Hands-on experience with instrumenting CI/CD pipelines
- Practical experience with public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform
- Proficiency in Snowflake for data wrangling and management
- Proven ability to use DBT to build and maintain data marts and views
- Proven ability to configure, set up, and maintain GitHub for various code repositories
- Proven ability to assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements into implementable solution
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies & leverage them to execute on the use cases given to solve business problems
- Proven solid written and verbal communication skills including explaining complex concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audience
