The Community & Sate Clinical Strategic Capabilities team is seeking a Capability Manager (aka Product Manager) to enhance and transform the care management experience. Our team is dedicated to developing technological capabilities that empower care managers to deliver simplified, personalized, and compassionate care that drives improved health outcomes for our members. By transforming care management with AI-driven tools, data insights, and automation, we enable person-centered clinical models that prioritize impactful interventions, seamless operations, and tailored engagement across digital, telephonic, and in-person channels.

Job description

As a capability manager you will be responsible for developing and enhancing the capabilities that support the care management experience. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify capability gaps, drive capability development initiatives, and optimize our capability offerings to deliver maximum value to our markets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Capability development: Identify and define the capabilities required to achieve the strategic goals of the C&S Clinical Strategic Capabilities portfolio. Develop and implement strategies to build and enhance these capabilities. Ensure capabilities align with overall business objectives and customer/market needs
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate capabilities into strategic roadmaps. Facilitate workshops and meetings to align on capability requirements and development priorities. Collaborate with training and development teams to build competency in new capabilities
  • Gap analysis and improvement: Conduct regular capability gap analyses to identify areas for improvement and development. Develop and execute plans to address identified gaps and enhance product capabilities. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented capabilities
  • Innovation and best practices: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in capability development. Introduce innovative solutions and approaches to enhance product capabilities. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
  • Stakeholder management: Build and maintain solid relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, customers, and partners. Communicate capability development plans and progress to stakeholders effectively. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on capability goals and outcomes
  • Performance measurement: Establish and maintain metrics and KPIs to measure the success and impact of capabilities. Monitor and analyze capability performance data to identify trends and insights. Report on capability performance and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Project management: Lead capability development projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and integration

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in capability management, product management, or a related role within the product management or technology industry and a proven track record of developing and implementing capability strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Experience with capability assessment frameworks, performance metrics, and data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of product management / development processes and technologies with the ability to lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Proven strategic thinker with the ability to align capability initiatives with overall business goals
  • Proven solid project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Product Management / Product Manager Certification
  • Knowledge of Care Management operations and/or business capabilities
  • Knowledge of Medicaid & DNSP lines of business, including core Medicaid and LTSS
  • Experienced in shaping capability roadmaps through application of human-centered design techniques
  • Experience in documenting product requirements and breaking down work into capabilities and features
  • Knowledge of product management lifecycle and associated deliverables
  • Proven solid stakeholder alignment and negotiation skills
  • Proven solid presentation and story-telling skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas using easy-to-understand concepts

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
