Supports M&R Core Operations Automation by utilizing programming skills, claim expertise, and analytical skills to write code (SAS/SQL) to query/extract data from claims repositories. Creates custom-tailored end-user data experiences by writing SQL queries in the Data on Demand dashboard. Collaborates with Business Analysts to create automated solutions that collects data to be sent to internal automations.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Interpret criteria for programming SAS/SQL reports
- Create/Provide/Support ad hoc and scheduled reports by writing complex SAS/SQL code
- Collaborate/Communicate with internal reporting customers and business partners
- Identify/Create/Implement report improvements and efficiencies
- Utilize working business process knowledge of claims, COSMOS, and metrics/reporting to interpret requests
- Implement queries in the Data on Demand dashboard to help business partners achieve unique goals
- Provide guidance to peers in completing requests
- Improve existing processes through innovation

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries for reporting, data extraction, and transformation in a production environment. Qualifying candidates should be prepared to discuss their SQL experience and demonstrate proficiency during the interview process
- Recent experience developing and maintaining SQL or SAS reports in a business setting
- Demonstrate experience working with large-scale databases such as DB2, Teradata, SQL Server, Hive, Snowflake, Databricks, and Oracle
- Solid understanding of looping, conditional logic, variables, and functions, with the ability to apply these principles in data manipulation and reporting tasks

Demonstrate the ability to work independently to research, troubleshoot, and solve complex data or reporting problems with minimal guidance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with COSMOS claims processing or healthcare data
- SAS development experience (PC SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, etc.)
- Solid understanding of Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.)
- Experience in gathering requirements
- Background in software development
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to produce accurate and reliable work

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
