Sr Mgr, Software Engineering – Remote

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions across multiple platforms
- Contribute to full software development lifecycle including design, development, unit testing, system testing, and test automation
- Design, develop, and maintain software components leveraging modern technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, Python, TypeScript (with frameworks like React and Angular), Microservices architecture, Apache Kafka, LangChain library, and OpenAI Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Drive engineering best practices including DevOps, automation, instrumentation, and continuous improvement
- Oversee operational excellence by ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and quality standards
- Manage a team of engineers, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development support
- Provide leadership and accountability for the performance of individual contributors
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical delivery with business objectives
- Own and optimize technical assets, ensuring they meet performance, scalability, and reliability goals
- Drive modern, innovative solutions across the application portfolio
- Champion a customer-centric mindset and drive improvements in user experience and satisfaction
- Lead initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve system observability and maintainability
- Influence architectural decisions and contribute to enterprise-wide engineering strategy
- Manage budgets, resource planning, and vendor relationships as needed
- Collaborate with geographically distributed Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or 4+ years equivalent professional work experience
- 10+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer with solid proficiency in Java, Python and Spring Boot
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading engineering teams
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in production cloud (public or private)
- 1+ years of experience integrating Generative AI capabilities into enterprise applications
- Experience leading software engineering teams, including people management and technical delivery
- Understanding of modern software development practices, tools, and architectures (e.g., microservices, cloud, CI/CD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks
- Good understanding of Scrum and Agile best practices
- Experience with compliance and security standards
- Experience working in the healthcare industry or other regulated environments
- Experience managing budgets and resource planning for engineering teams
- Hands-on experience delivering engineering solutions in cloud environments
- Solid hands-on knowledge in Playwright, JUnit or equivalent testing frameworks
- Solid hands-on knowledge in PL/SQL and Oracle database
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including:
- Build automation tools: Github Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent
- Build tools: Maven, ANT, Gradle or equivalent
- Source control tools: Git, GitHub or equivalent
- Experience setting up CI/CD and continuous testing pipelines
- Knowledge of CI/CD, security, and vulnerability tools including Maven, Github Actions, ServiceNow API integration, Stargate, Sonar or equivalent
- Experience with modern open-source technologies including Kafka and Kubernetes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions
- Solid business acumen with the ability to align engineering efforts to strategic goals
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical assets and drive operational excellence

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
