Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and operate enterprise-grade Azure cloud platforms to host business critical applications
  • Engineer scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure patterns using Azure-native services (compute, networking, storage, identity)
  • Define and implement reference architectures, landing zones, and guardrails for cloud adoption
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates) to manage platform resources
  • Lead efforts to establish high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for critical workloads
  • Partner with InfoSec to embed security and compliance controls (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2) into the platform
  • Build monitoring, observability, and logging frameworks for platform health and service reliability (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
  • Drive cost optimization, capacity planning, and performance tuning across platform services.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, setting best practices for cloud platform engineering
  • Collaborate with architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to align platform design with enterprise strategy
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 8+ years of overall engineering experience, with 3+ years in Azure cloud platform/infrastructure roles.
  • Hands-on expertise in:
    • Compute: VMs, AKS, App Services
  • Networking: VNETs, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Load Balancers, Firewalls
  • Storage: Blob, Files, Managed Disks
  • Identity & Security: Azure Active Directory, Key Vault, RBAC, Conditional Access
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
  • Solid understanding of high availability, scalability, and resiliency design patterns in Azure
  • Proven experience building secure and compliant cloud platforms in regulated industries
  • Programming/scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications (AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-500: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalent)
  • Experience designing enterprise landing zones using Azure Landing Zone (CAF) principles
  • Experience in healthcare, financial services, or other highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud connectivity (on-premises data centers, ExpressRoute, VPN)
  • Knowledge of FinOps practices for cloud cost governance
  • Solid background in platform reliability engineering (SRE) concepts

  • Passion for mentoring engineers and uplifting team capabilities.
  • Adaptability and willingness to explore emerging Azure technologies
