Software Engineer – MYSQL

Primary Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain MySQL database servers
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning measures
• Perform regular database backups and ensure disaster recovery readiness
• Manage database security, including user roles and permissions
• Design and implement database replication and clustering for high availability,Database Upgrade
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support application requirements
• Automate routine database tasks using scripts and tools
• Maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during off-hours as needed
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• B.E or B.Tech
• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a MySQL DBA
• Experience with MySQL replication (master-slave, master-master)
• Experience with MySQL replication (master-slave, master-master).
  GTID replication setup
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Solid knowledge of MySQL 5.7/8.0 architecture and INNODB internals
• Understanding of database security best practices
• Familiarity with backup and recovery tools (e.g., Percona XtraBackup)
• Proficiency in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Proven HA solutions on Percona XtraDB Cluster
• Proven excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure Database for MySQL)
• Knowledge on Postgressql
• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
