This position follows a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams in delivering large-scale modernization and technology transformation initiatives
  • Align technical strategy with organizational goals by collaborating across technology and business units
  • Serve as an accountable product owner for delivered applications, ensuring their ongoing support, reliability, and operational excellence throughout the application lifecycle
  • Oversee the development and integration of advanced AI-driven solutions into core platforms and workflows
  • Drive adoption of automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency and digital capabilities
  • Build and maintain solid relationships with key business stakeholders, clients, and vendors to ensure alignment and successful delivery of initiatives
  • Develop and present cost-benefit analysis (CBAs) to support decision-making for technology investments and modernization initiatives
  • Run agile teams and deliver solutions in iterative environments
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering talent to build and sustain a high-performing team
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, quality, and high performance
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risks associated with modernization and transformation projects
  • Manage operational spend, write and/or review statements of work (SOWs), and track labor costs to ensure efficiency and alignment with business objectives
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure engineering outcomes and process improvements
  • Impact of work is most often at the regional (e.g. multi-state) level, or is responsible for a major portion of a business segment, functional area or line of business

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in large-scale software engineering projects, preferably within healthcare or PBM technology
  • 10+ years of experience with full-stack application development, API integration, and Java
  • 8+ years of experience modernizing legacy systems; direct experience with IBM is highly preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and migration (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML solution development (including no-code/low-code platforms), digital workflow automation tools, and agent-based technologies is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex technical solutions
  • Experience working with regulated clients such as those in healthcare is beneficial
  • Deep understanding and practical application of DevOps engineering practices and Infrastructure-as-Code for automated deployments
  • Proven excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $156,400 to $268,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
