The Senior Risk Intelligence Analyst, Global Risk Intelligence, is a key member of UnitedHealth Group’s (UHG) Corporate Security team. The Corporate Security group is responsible for the Enterprise Workplace Security Program, charged with protecting the company’s global workforce and assets through advanced security risk management programs.

As a senior member of the Risk Intelligence Team, this role is responsible for leading the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of all-source security intelligence relevant to UHG, including but not limited to political violence, social unrest, terrorism, criminal activity, insider threats, corporate fraud, and workplace violence. The Senior Analyst will proactively identify emerging threats, influence risk mitigation strategies, and ensure rapid escalation and communication of critical intelligence to executive leadership and business stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight for all-source security intelligence analysis; anticipate and assess global and regional security risks impacting the company’s employees, assets, and operations in the near, medium, and long term
  • Lead the production and quality review of tactical and strategic intelligence reports, including situational updates, risk assessments, threat forecasts, executive summaries, and specialized briefings for C-suite and board-level audiences
  • Develop and manage complex, multi-source projects, delivering predictive analyses and research on security events and trends with potential impact to the business
  • Oversee and coordinate the operational security risk assessment process for high-profile business activities (e.g., executive travel, corporate events, and strategic initiatives) and provide direct support for incidents requiring immediate intelligence input
  • Direct live monitoring and incident response during critical business activities and periods of heightened risk, ensuring rapid and accurate dissemination of intelligence to key decision-makers
  • Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to other analysts on the team, fostering knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous skill advancement
  • Partner with Corporate Security leadership to design and implement intelligence and risk assessment methodologies, standardized templates, workflows, and operational procedures
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal business units, external intelligence partners, and law enforcement or government agencies, representing Corporate Security in high-level meetings and collaborative forums
  • Maintain and advance the organization’s intelligence capabilities by staying abreast of industry trends, emerging threats, and new analytical tools or technologies
  • Support after-hours on-call responsibilities as needed; provide senior-level oversight for incident response during major security events

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in risk intelligence or physical security analysis within corporate, law enforcement, or government settings
  • Experience supporting GSOC operations, crisis management, and travel risk programs; solid understanding of ISO 31000 and duty-of-care principles
  • Expertise in OSINT collection, threat assessment, and risk forecasting; ability to produce actionable intelligence for senior stakeholders. Advanced tradecraft in aligning intelligence to PIRs and applying confidence assessments
  • Proficiency with threat monitoring, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), and Microsoft 365. Familiarity with GIS and basic scripting (Python or SQL) preferred
  • Proven exceptional written and verbal skills; ability to brief executives and prioritize under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as ASIS CPP, PSP, or intelligence analysis credentials; multilingual ability 
  • Experience with automation for intel workflows and integration with SIEM/SOAR tools
  • Familiarity with business continuity, crisis playbooks, and after-action reviews
  • Sector-specific threat knowledge (geopolitical, civil unrest, crime, terrorism)
  • Proven solid geospatial analysis and visualization capabilities
  • Proven leadership qualities: mentoring junior analysts, influencing cross-functional teams, and maintaining analytic standards

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
