International Tax Senior Manager – Hybrid – Eden Prairie, MN

This position follows a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
As an International Tax Senior Manager, you will be directly responsible for overseeing the completion of all relevant informational tax returns and disclosures supporting the U.S. federal income tax return for UnitedHealth Group, Inc. Primary job responsibilities will include:
- Managing the U.S. international tax compliance process, including reviewing all U.S. informational tax returns (5471/8858/8865) and disclosures to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with domestic and foreign tax laws
- Managing and reviewing all relevant tax computations supporting the U.S. Federal Income Tax Return including GILTI, Subpart F, BEAT, Country-by-Country Reporting, and the Foreign Tax Credit
- Managing and reviewing all key non-compliance filing requirements such as U.S. Withholding Tax Reporting (Form 1042), Annual Residency Certification (Form 8802/6166), and Income Tax Reporting of U.S. Territories (Form 1120-F)
- Working with staff to prepare responses to tax audit information requests
- Working with staff to maintain tax attribute tracking
- Providing leadership, counseling, and career guidance to staff members

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or comparable education
- 8+ years’ experience working in a Fortune 500 tax department or public accounting firm
- Knowledge of international tax concepts, including GILTI, Subpart F, and BEAT
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or advanced degree including MBA, MBT, or equivalent
- Experience working with OneSource Income Tax software
- Experience managing and developing people
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-functional environment
- Proven attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
