Primary Responsibilities:

  • Designing, implementing and maintaining all functions of database systems according to business needs
  • Managing Oracle 11g and 12c, 19c databases on HP UNIX and LINUX environments
  • Performing all forms of database maintenance and administrative activities; installing, configuring, patching and upgrading Oracle server software, applications and related products
  • Design and implement database backups using Oracle Recovery Manager
  • Automating routine maintenance tasks as appropriate utilizing OEM, Shell scripting and PL/SQL batch processing
  • Support the production environment on 11g,12c, 19c databases on HP UNIX and Linux
  • Backup and restore using RMAN utilities, Disaster Recovery testing, recovery Catalog and refreshing databases on multiple environments
  • Manage, troubleshoot and resolve oracle database and applications issues
  • Perform database and application tuning using AWR and ADDM
  • Assist the application development team with tuning and optimization of long running SQL and PL/SQL queries for better performance
  • Perform and develop the PL/SQL code for automation process
  • Manage /support Oracle Golden gate
  • Manage and troubleshoot and resolve Oracle database and Performance its issues
  • Managing Oracle databases on HP-UX and Linux environments
  • Production Support of Large (VLDB) and Complex Databases
  • Support the production environment on 12c, 19c databases on HP UNIX and Linux
  • Automating routine maintenance tasks as appropriate utilizing OEM, SQL Loader, Shell scripting and PL/SQL batch processing
  • Backup and restore using RMAN utilities, Disaster Recovery testing, recovery Catalog and refreshing databases on multiple environments
  • Manage, troubleshoot and resolve oracle database and applications issues
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
     

 

Qualifications – External

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Oracle Certified DBA, Oracle 19c, experience in Exadata Machines
  • Experience with Oracle enterprise manager 13c
  • Experience in RAC and Multi-tenant (CDB-PDB) environments and performance tuning as well
  • Experience in RAC environments, patching and performance tuning as well
  • Experience & Knowledge of Oracle products (Oracle Database 19c )
  • Knowledge of Operating System: HP Unix, Red Hat Linux,AIX
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database solutions (ASM and Recovery Manager)
  • Knowledge of Oracle tools (13cOEM, SQL Loader, Quest TOAD, AWR and ADDM)
  • Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures and Unix Shell Scripting
  • Working knowledge of Exadata
  • Familiar with Cloud platform (preferred Azure)

Preferred additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Cassandra
  • Knowledge of Cassandra
