Senior Software engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

• Software Development:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
  • Implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka to ensure real-time data streaming and integration
  • Develop RESTful APIs and microservices that support front-end applications and business processes
• Database Management:
  • Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes in MySQL or other relational databases
  • Work with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) if required
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization for database operations
• System Design & Architecture:
  • Collaborate with architects and other developers to design system architecture that aligns with business requirements
  • Implement best practices for microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Integration & Deployment:
  • Integrate systems using messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka for data streaming and communication
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment processes
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
  • Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to industry best practices
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams, to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the overall growth of the technical team
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Qualifications – External

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven systems and data streaming
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, especially MySQL (including query optimization, indexing, etc.)
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API development
• Expertise in Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem
• Solid proficiency in Java programming language 
• Proven solid problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven ability to mentor and guide junior developers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) 

• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
