Our Technical Project & Program Management team leads strategic healthcare IT initiatives that improve patient care and operational efficiency. We partner with clinical, business, and technology leaders to deliver solutions that support our mission of transforming healthcare through innovation.

 

The Sr Project Manager plays a pivotal role in facilitating and supporting the implementation of assigned capability transformation projects. This individual collaborates closely with IT Capability Leaders, IT Account Leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to deliver solutions that align with organizational priorities. Key responsibilities include reporting deviations in project progress and timelines to stakeholders across business and technology domains, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and maintaining up-to-date execution statuses in standard work tracking tools such as ServiceNow. The Sr Project Manager ensures that project teams are aligned with business priorities, prepares inputs for resource allocation reviews, and leads routine project meetings, reviews, and ad hoc sessions as needed. Additionally, the role involves coordinating dependencies between projects and teams, tracking workstreams and information flow, and leveraging a deep understanding of workflows and technology department processes to support successful project execution. This position demands strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills to drive measurable outcomes and continuous improvement in a dynamic healthcare setting.

 

This role is primarily remote; however, candidates must reside within commuting distance of Walnut Creek, California. Travel of up to 25% is required to support infrastructure related work, site walks, onsite meetings, and project execution. The Sr. Project Manager will oversee primarily Infrastructure and Clinical Application efforts requiring periodic onsite engagement to ensure successful delivery

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and support implementing clinical and business applications in health care setting
  • Work closely with IT Capability Leaders, IT Account Leaders, IT teams, and vendors in to implement solutions
  • Report deviations on project progress and timeline to stakeholders (business, technology, and others)
  • Identify and mitigate risks to project progress
  • Keep project execution statuses up-to-date in standard work tracking tools (e.g. SNOW) and processes, including everything from information about timelines to milestones of specifically defined deliverable
  • Ensure the teams allocated to each project understand the business’s priorities and are aligned to them
  • Prepare inputs for review of planned vs actual resource allocation per project
  • Facilitate routine project meetings, project reviews, and ad hoc meetings as necessary
  • Identify dependencies between projects that might affect the delivery date, and coordinate dependencies between teams
  • Track project workstreams and the flow of information
  • Understand the workflows and technology department processes to support project execution

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of PM experience (IT)
  • 2+ years of project management experience in healthcare setting
  • 2+ years of managing technical projects in a healthcare setting (i.e.: Clinical applications, Non-Clinical applications, Infrastructure)
  • Experience with EMR implementations
  • Local to Walnut Creek, CA with ability to commute onsite as needed (up to 25%)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP
  • Hands on experience with ServiceNow
  • Proven solid communication skills across multiple mediums
  • AI first mindset

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
