Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain application servers, troubleshoot issues, maintain documentation, coordinate with Optum IT security
  • Perform security and server patches, system upgrades, implement and maintain alert systems
  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with technical staff from multiple internal and external customers
  • Provide dedicated premium level technical support of the CES application servers
  • Develop SQL queries and scripts for troubleshooting purposes and to provide resolutions to technical issues
  • Create technical documentation and product alerts for known issues that contain detailed issue descriptions, resolutions, and workarounds
  • Act as advocate for clients as you liaison with Optum security and environment administrators
  • Collaborate with technical Implementation and AMS support teams
  • Develop, document, and maintain best practices for managing servers

     

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience maintaining Windows servers
  • 2+ years of experience in Systems Analysis, systems support, or IT Development
  • Production Software Support experience
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proven excellent analytical and problem solving skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • UnitedHealth Group work experience
  • Familiarity or experience working with the CES (Claims Edit System) software
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple projects at once
