The Deposit Operations Analyst at Optum Bank plays a key role in supporting the daily activities and ongoing optimization of the Bank’s core deposit platform. This position processes and reconciles customer deposits while ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements in addition to operational efficiency. This position also assists in executing operational strategies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality customer experience. The Analyst collaborates with team members and other departments to maintain effective deposit operations, support system administration tasks, and contribute to the implementation of new products and digital initiatives. Success in this role requires solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational integrity and risk management.
This role will be onsite at either the Eden Prairie, MN location or Draper, UT location.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the execution and continuous improvement of the Bank’s core deposit operations in alignment with business objectives
- Assist in managing daily activities related to deposit accounts, including transaction processing, account maintenance, and reconciliation tasks
- Process and review daily transactions, including deposits, ACH, wire transfers, and file exchanges, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Provide documentation support in addition to monitoring operational workflows, identify opportunities for efficiency, and support process enhancements to minimize risk
- Engage with customers and internal teams to support deposit-related inquiries, explain processes, and ensure a high-quality customer experience through clear and professional communication
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to deposit operations
- As appropriate assist in administering user access to the core platform

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in banking operations or a related financial services environment
- 1+ years of exposure and understanding of core banking platforms, with practical exposure to deposit operations and transaction processing, such as ACH, wire transfers, and file exchanges
- Awareness of regulatory compliance standards and internal policies relevant to deposit operations
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and assist with operational projects and process improvements
- Proven solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and a focus on operational accuracy and risk mitigation
- Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate teamwork and support stakeholders across departments
- Proven commitment to maintaining accurate transaction processing, regulatory compliance, and delivering quality customer service in deposit operations
- Be willing to work onsite in either Eden Prairie, MN or Draper, UT
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
