Primary Responsibilities:

  • Trusted partner of the technical leadership of an organization, typically at the Director level
  • Key influencer in planning strategy and bring in business and industry context to technology decisions
  • Architecture should be exemplary in terms of efficiency, stability, extensibility, and the ability to evolve over time. Simplify processes and technologies
  • Software is robust in the presence of failures, scalable, and cost-effective
  • Coding practices are exemplary in terms of code organization, clarity, simplicity, error handling, and documentation
  • Decompose complex problems into straightforward solutions
  • Flexible, adapting to meet the needs of the team, project, or product
  • Solicit differing views and are willing to change your mind as you learn more
  • As a “hands-on” technical leader, split your time between coding, design, and architecture based on where the greatest impact (or in response to job requirements)
  • Amplify impact by leading design reviews for complex software projects and/or critical features
  • Probe assumptions, illuminate pitfalls, and foster shared understanding
  • Align teams toward coherent architectural strategies
  • Educate, keeping the engineering community up to date on advanced technical issues, technologies, and trends
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 11+ years of experience in building SOA style applications in the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) 
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience working on large scale Java projects with specific focus on micro services, Spring Boot, or spark scala projects
  • 3+ years of experience in working cloud environments – Azure, AWS, GCP
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a principal-level software engineer
  • Experience working in a complex, service-oriented service development
  • Experience in working with engineering leaders
  • Knowledge on technology stack like Java (Spring Boot), REST apis, Python
  • Good knowledge on cloud related infra, security and networking aspects
  • Proven track record of leading application or platform security framework for large-scale, multi-cloud platforms
  • Proven track record of leading the delivery of large-scale, high-quality systems
  • Proven exceptional communication skills
  • Proven excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proven to be highly organized individual

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience using terraform or other CI/CD IaaC
