The People Development Consultant will play a pivotal role in organizing and managing learning partnerships and overseeing the governance of learning initiatives to ensure alignment with ETDL goals and long-term strategies. This role involves coordinating the activities of various learning governance groups, ensuring effective communication, and facilitating the smooth execution of governance processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of the Learning Governance model, starting with the Learning Strategic Council
  • Collaborate with Learning Leaders and L&D community coordinators to ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement
  • Implement strategies to address identified areas for improvement
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between central L&D governance groups and local stakeholders
  • Share best practices and successful initiatives across regions or functions to promote consistency and efficiency in L&D delivery
  • Align learning initiatives with ETDL goals and long-term strategies

 

Task and Deliverable Examples:

Meeting Coordination:

  • Schedule and organize learning governance meetings, including the Learning Strategic Council and other governance groups
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, pre-reads, and other necessary materials to participants in advance
  • Facilitate meetings by ensuring they run smoothly, staying on schedule, and addressing any logistical issues that arise

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Serve as a point of contact for all learning governance-related communications
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between central L&D governance groups and local stakeholders
  • Share best practices and successful initiatives across regions or functions to promote consistency and efficiency in L&D delivery

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Take detailed minutes during meetings and ensure accurate documentation of discussions, decisions, and action items
  • Follow up on action items to ensure progress and completion
  • Prepare and distribute reports on meeting outcomes and progress updates to relevant stakeholders

Governance Support:

  • Support the implementation of the agreed Learning Governance framework
  • Ensure alignment of learning initiatives with corporate strategy and optimize resource allocation
  • Assist in the design and execution of the Learning Governance model, starting with the Learning Strategic Council

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven solid project management and planning skills
  • Proven excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to document discussions accurately
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in learning and development, talent management, or a related field for 3+ years
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
